FOREWORD
From an collage professors to immortal cannibals. One evil and one not - sort of. One not caring about the end of mankind, the other trying to save it.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

2 - INTERIOR. DIMLY LIT GEOLOGY LAB AT THE UNIVERSITY 1833.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

3 - INTERIOR. LUKE - " PROFESSOR OF GEOLOGY " ENTERS THE GEOLOGY LAB TO SEE A LARGE SPECIMEN OF IRON PYRITE FOUND BY SOME BOYS EXPLORING A CAVE NOT FARE FROM TOWN.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

4 - INTERIOR. CLOSE UP ON THE IRON PYRITE, PULLING BACK TO REVEAL LUKE AND THE CURATOR OF THE LAB LOOKING DOWN AT IT. THEIR FACES IN HIGH CONTRAST FROM THE TABLE LAMP OVER THE SPECIMEN.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

5 - INTERIOR. CLOSE UP ON LUKE'S FACE.

LUKE
( Gazing with a broad smile. )

" Magnificent. Absolutely magnificent. Where did they find it? " Asked Luke with an excited voice.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

6 - INTERIOR. CLOSE UP ON CURATORS' FACE.

CURATOR
( With fixed gaze on the Pyrite. )

" On Willow Mountain. A small cave on Willow
Mountain. " The Curator answered in a slow whimpering voice.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

7 - EXTERIOR. LUKE SADDLING HORSE IN FRONT OF HIS HOUSE PREPARING TO HEAD FOR WILLOW MOUNTAIN TO FIND THE CAVE, AND PERHAPS ANOTHER LARGE SPECIMEN OF PYRITE.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

8 - EXTERIOR. NEIGHBOR, JOHN, RIDDING UP TO LUKE AFTER TEACHING A CLASS ON ENGLISH LITERATURE.
JOHN
( JOHN WIPES FOREHEAD WITH SLEEVE. )

" Headin out? " John asked.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

9 - EXTERIOR. LUKE LOOKING OVER HIS SADDLE.

LUKE
( Big grin, turns head toward his right side. )

" To Willow Mountain. Some boys found a hunk of Pyrite the size of a watermelon. I wouldn't mind a specimen like that for myself. Wanta come along? " Luke asked with an excited voice.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

10 - EXTERIOR. JOHN LEANING ON HIS SADDLE HORN.

( SQUINTING )

" Sure. Why not. " John replied while looking at his yard. " Nothing much to do but grade some papers. "

11 - EXTERIOR OF SMALL CAVE OPENING.

12 - EXTERIOR. LUKE AND JOHN STARING UPWARD FROM THEIR HORSES - CAMERA AT EYE LEVEL WITH THE HORSES.

13 - EXTERIOR. CLOSE UP ON LUKE'S FACE.

LUKE
( TAKING OFF HIS HAT. )

" That's probably the one. Ya think we can fit through there? " Asked Luke with an inquisitive voice.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

14 - EXTERIOR. CLOSE UP ON JOHN'S FACE.

JOHN
( SITTING IN HIS SADDLE LOOKING DOWN. )

" When we were kids maybe. " John replied with a half grin.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

15 - EXTERIOR. CLOSE UP ON LUKE'S FACE.

LUKE
( STILL SMILING, RAISES HIS EYEBROWS, AND PUTS HIS HAT BACK ON. )

" Let's give it a try. " Luke stated in a tone of determination.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

16 - INTERIOR. THE CAVE. LUKE'S FLASHLIGHT SHINING ROUND THE SMALL CRAWL WAY SHOWING CRYSTAL FORMATIONS.

LUKE
( BREATHING HARD, SOUND OF FLASHLIGHT CLANKING ON ROCKS AND CRYSTALS. )

" Well, there is defiantly mineral formations in here. Look at this. " Luke held his flash light on some Iron Pyrite surrounded by crystals.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

17 - INTERIOR. THE CAVE. THE NARROW PASSAGE OPENED INTO A SLIGHTLY LARGER CAVITY COVERED IN CRYSTALS, AND HUNDREDS INSECTS SCURRYING AROUND MAKING CLICKING SOUNDS AS THEIR SHELLS TOUCH EACH OTHER AND THE SIDES OF THE CAVITY.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

18 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY SHOWING A SMALL LIGHT COMING FROM AN OPENING.

LUKE
( SHINING FLASHLIGHT AROUND THE OPENING. )

" The bad news is there's a lot of bugs in here. The good news there's light coming from an opening in the back. " Luke stated.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

19 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY SHOWING LUKE'S FLASH LIGHT ON JOHN'S FACE.

JOHN
( SQUIRMING FROM SIDE TO SIDE TRYING TO FREE HIS HANDS. )

" I'm stuck. " John said in a raised grunting voice.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.
20 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY LIT ONLY BY THE SMALL OPENING TO THE OUTSIDE.

LUKE
( SHINING THE FLASHLIGHT ON JOHN. )

" We got water. Plus the bugs. We got enough bugs. We're not going to starve to or die of thirst. " Luke side in a conciliatory voice.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

21 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY IN TOTAL DARKNESS.

JOHN
( FIDGETING, AND SIPPING WATER FROM THE CEILING. )

" Hay, Luke. It's been 90 day's by count. Ya still kicken. Say somethin. I haven't heard ya munchun on our
buddies. " John said softly coughing a laugh.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

22 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY LIT ONLY BY THE SMALL OPENING TO THE OUTSIDE.

LUKE
( CRAWLING TO JOHN MAKING A SCRATCHING SOUND AS HE MOVED ACCROSS THE ROCK AND CRYSTAL FLOOR. )

" Humming " Crawling closer to John until John could feel his breath on his arm.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

23 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY LIT ONLY BY THE SMALL OPENING TO THE OUTSIDE.

JOHN
( WIGGLING AS BEST HE COULD. )

" Hi there. How ya feelin? Ya okey? Luke, ya okey ? " John asked repeatedly.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

24- INTERIOR. THE CAVITY LIT ONLY BY THE SMALL OPENING TO THE OUTSIDE.

LUKE
( SNIFFING LAUDLY AND HUMMING. )

" Humming ". Luke stopped humming and a few moments later slowly presses his mouth against Johns�s arm, and slowly begins to close it.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE

25- INTERIOR. THE CAVITY - LIT ONLY BY THE SMALL OPENING TO THE OUTSIDE.

JOHN
( STILL WRIGGLING. )

" Hay! What the hell ya doin? Stop it! Stop it! God dammit, God dammit! " John's voice grew louder and louder. John began to scream as loud as he could as Luke slowly bit into his arm.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

26 - INTERIOR. THE CAVITY LIT ONLY BY THE SMALL OPENING TO THE OUTSIDE.

Luke continued chewing on John's arm. John continues to scream. The screaming and chewing sounds fade to where the only sound is John sobbing and Luke licking the blood oozing from John's arm and shoulder.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

27- EXTERIOR. 2016, ON A PATH BY THE HOLE IN THE BACK OF THE CAVITY WHERE LUKE AND JOHN ARE TRAPPED. A COUPLE OF TEENAGERS ARE HIKING WHEN LUKE REACHES THROUGH THE HOLE AND GRABS THE GIRL HIKER BY THE LEG.

FEMALE HIKER
( DRESSED IN SHORTS AND T-SHIRT. )

" SCREAMS. " SHE FALLS A SHORT DISTANCE OFF THE TRAIL.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

28- EXTERIOR. SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN WHERE AN EXCAVATION TEAM IS WORKING ON FREEING LUCK AND JOHN.

THEY SLOWLY DRAGGED LUKE OUT, THEN JOHN. SHOWING, AT A DISTANCE, LUKE AND JOHN WITH EXTREMELY LONG HAIR, JUST A LITTLE ROTTEN FABRIC ON THEIR LEGS, AND LEATHER BELTS.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

29 - EXTERIOR. LOOKING UP FROM GROUND LEVEL AT THE FACES OF A DOCTOR, RESCUE WORKER, AND A COP.

RESCUE WORKER
( STEPS BACKWARD, THEN LEANS FORWARD. )

" Christ all mighty. Look at that. " Said the rescue worker in an astonished voice.

30 - EXTERIOR. LOOKING AT JOHN'S ARM AND SHOULDER WITH MASSIVE SCARING.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

31 - INTERIOR. HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM. A NURSE NAMED JEWEL WORKING ON LUKE.

LUKE
( HOOKED TO MANY TUBES. )

" Humming. " Luke stops humming, grabs her arm and bits into it with extreme ferocity that shocks and panics everyone in the room, except John. Doctors, nurses, and orderlies jump on Luke to break his hold Jewel.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

32 - EXTERIOR. THE FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL. SCENE FOCUSES ON JOHN AND JEWEL WITH A WHOLE BODY SHOT, THEN SLOWLY FOCUSING ON THEIR FACES.

JEWEL
( WITH HEAVILY BANDAGED AND SHOULDER. )

" He could be anywhere. " Say's Jewel slowly turning her gaze toward John.

FADE TO NEXT SCENE.

33 - EXTERIOR. CAMERA SLOWLY TURNS AWAY FROM JOHN AND JEWEL TO PAN THE CITY IN FRONT OF THE HOSPITAL.

FADE TO NEST SCENE.

34 - EXTERIOR. NIGHTTIME SCENE PANNING POORLY LIT STREET WET FROM RECENT RAIN.

" Humming. " Luke standing still watching a woman approaching.

THE WOMAN
( IN SILHOUETTE CARRYING PACKAGES HURRYING DOWN THE SIDEWALK. )

" Hi ". She says as she focuses in on Luke who she could hear humming and still standing in the shadow cast by a street light.

( STILL STANDING IN THE SHADOW CAST BY THE STREET LIGHT. )

" Hum hum yum yum. " Luke muttered as he stopped humming.
